Surface EMG and Biofeedback in Physical Therapy:
Applications in Chronic Pain Management
Glenn Kasman, M.S., P.T. practices
in the Section of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia
Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, USA, where he serves
as a physical therapy section supervisor and clinical specialist
for electrotherapies. Mr Kasman has published work in neurophysiology,
surface EMG evaluation and feedback training. He is currently working
on a two volume surface EMG textbook series for clinicians.
Mr Kasman sits on the board of the Surface EMG Society
of North America and is vice-chair of the Administrative Special
interest Group of the Washington State Physical Therapy Association.
He is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Washington
and has spoken nationally, and internationally, on topics in surface
EMG. Mr Kasman regularly conducts continuing education seminars
for clinicians and is actively engaged with neurologic and orthopaedic
patients, athletic injury, chronic pain management, and injured
workers.
