Resident Consultant
Clinical Associate Professor at Cornell University Medical College
Dr Howard Glazer, Ph.D., is a Clinical
Associate Professor at Cornell University Medical College and an

use of electromyographic feedback (biofeedback) for the rehabilitation
of pelvic floor musculature in the treatment of a broad range of
urologic and gynaecological conditions.
Dr Glazer conducted doctoral research in the field
of neurophysiology and learning theory at the university of Texas
at Austin, and post-doctoral research in neurochemistry / pharmacology
at Rockerfeller University. He subsequently undertook post-doctoral

Montreal General Hospital and at New York Hospital. Dr Glazer entered
private practice in New York City in 1975 with a focus in behavioural
medicine / biofeedback. His background , combining neurophysiology
/ neurochemistry, learning theory, sex therapy, and computerised
technology as applied to these fields led to a rapid specialisation
of his practice in the area of pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation.
Dr Glazer continues his clinical practice treating
pelvic floor muscle dysfunctions such as urinary stress incontinence,
urge incontinence, detrussor instability, interstitial cystitis,
coccydynia, prostatodynia, urethral syndrome, vulvodynia / vestibulitis
and other pelvic pain syndromes. In addition to his clinical practice
he is actively involved in several hospital and medical college
based research projects, acts as a consultant to equipment manufacturers
and software development companies, and conducts didactic and hands-on
training for physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, and
biofeedback specialists in pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation.
